Optimizing a Yogurt Manufacturer's Oil Storage & Organization
Searching for an Improved Lubrication Maintenance Program
Recently, a well-known yogurt manufacturer sought to improve their lubrication operations. While this manufacturer stored oils in a sanitary controlled environment, their lubrication room was unorganized and inefficient.
“This customer had many oils on hand that were not necessary for their operations,” said Chris Kniestedt, Regional Sales Manager at Lubriplate Lubricants. “With so many lubricants sitting around in small containers, they didn’t have a good sense of their overall inventory.”
To improve their existing lubrication storage, the manufacturer's maintenance manager turned to our team for assistance.
Creating an Elevated System
Jim Grant, NH04 Account Rep, and Josh Deason, CA42 Service Shop Manager, were tasked with providing a solution for this customer. Considering the customer’s desired improvements, they recommended that our team build a custom lubrication system for the manufacturer in collaboration with our partner, Lubriplate Lubricants.
Designed to simplify and improve lubrication maintenance programs, our systems include customized lubricant storage and dispensing systems, color coded charts, tags and storage signage. Some key additional features include pneumatic, on-demand dispensing oil pumps; faster fill of oil transfer containers vs. gravity fill systems; and valves with immediate shut-off after faucet levers are released.
“When it comes to these systems, the possibilities are endless,” Deason said. “This customer, in particular, requested 30-gallon tanks and a setup with a smaller footprint due to the limited space available in their lubrication room.”
The customer agreed to our custom lubrication system, and their new equipment was assembled and installed soon after. Deason feels that this is one of the most seamless units his team has ever built, and the customer is delighted with the result. Our team continues to make these units for numerous customers, having created over 50.
